MISSION
Our mission is to provide information and activities that will help to improve the flood awareness and preparedness of the people in the community. We will collaborate and communicate with them through social media platforms and web apps. Thus, the organization will work with communities to prevent this terrible disaster from destroying our community and society.
VISION
Flood Force will become Davao's leading regional flood management organization. We will make the region a safer place to live, work, learn, and thrive by providing useful and accurate information regarding flood awareness and preparedness.
PURPOSE
The Flood Force aims to provide a local platform for collaborative problem solving, knowledge sharing, social exchange, and community-wide participation. This will lead to a better understanding of local communities' information and preparedness needs and the creation of solutions tailored to their socioeconomic reality. Second, it will result in more cooperation and coordination amongst public entities for flood forecasting and warning services based on user demands.
Finally, enhanced technical techniques for effectively recognizing regions at imminent risk and a warning will be developed based on flood event studies and talks with impacted communities and other flood warning recipients. Essentially, the project will focus on establishing a collaborative platform that will connect citizens and allow the public to be alerted in bulk so that actions can be made to reduce the flood's negative effects.
The Facebook page for the Flood Force group will post announcements, information, and trivia. People will be contacted by the organization to keep them informed. A summary of the organization's website content will also be released on the official Facebook page so that people can stay up to date.
The Flood Force Organization's website will assist users in locating the information they need to assess floods and avoid them. All of the data available on the website is easy to arrange and systematize thanks to the website's unique functions, making working with it as efficient and convenient as possible. In this situation, the informational website serves as a user's guide on the Internet, substantially simplifying the search for thematic resources compared to search engines.
